What Everyone Needs to Know About Monsanto Before It’s Too Late

Sometimes called Mon-satan, there is a reason that people are up in arms about Monsanto, more than any other Big Pharma company. Monsanto is to be dealt with swiftly – more than Dow Chemical, more than Syngenta, more than the hundreds of other companies that have been against GMO labeling.  The genetically modified seed that Monsanto is selling to farmers constitutes more than 90% of the total GMO food crops in the United States. This is called a monopoly. Just last year a report published by the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications (ISAAA) stated that 420 million acres of GMO had been planted, in 28 countries worldwide. Since 1996 GMO crops have been grown on over 3.7 billion acres. This is no accident. Monsanto has a plan.

It’s been a grand scheme for over 20 years. It’s about more than potatoes and corn, soy and sugar cane. Monsanto is trying to control the entire food supply chain. It’s better than nuclear warfare, more evil than the arm’s trade. If Monsanto controls the seed, every seed, from trees to oranges, to cauliflower and rice, okra, mustard, and so on, royalties will be collected on Mother Nature herself. What was once free to the world, heirloom seeds that grow into everything from bamboo trees to broccoli, becomes a commodity controlled by a corporation.

It all started with the ‘revolving door’ policies in the White House, which has been exerting control over law makers’ decisions, specifically through one Michael Taylor. Taylor once worked for Monsanto as an attorney and was also appointed the deputy commissioner for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991, only later to rejoin Monsanto as their Vice President for Public Policy. It is beyond a conflict of interest. Monsanto and the White House have been sleeping in the same bed for two decades.

CT Scans Cause Radiation-Induced Cancer

Radiation-induced cancers have tripled in the last two decades and diagnostic imaging has been already been admitted as a cause by the U.S. government. According to a study of seven U.S. healthcare systems, the use of computed tomography (CT) scans of the head, abdomen/pelvis, chest or spine, in children younger than age 14 more than doubled from 1996 to 2005, and this associated radiation is projected to potentially increase the risk of radiation-induced cancer in these children in the future, according to a study published Online First by JAMA Pediatrics.

The use of CT in pediatrics has increased over the last two decades. The ionizing radiation doses delivered by the tests are higher than convention radiography and are in ranges that have been linked to an increased risk of cancer. Children are more sensitive to radiation-induced carcinogenesis and have many years of life left for cancer to develop, the authors write in the study background.

“The increased use of CT in pediatrics, combined with the wide variability in radiation doses, has resulted in many children receiving a high-dose examination,” the study notes.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned radiologists in the past that the scan expose children to doses of radiation far greater than is safe for their age and weight — by some estimates, up to six times more than what is needed to produce clear images.

In a public health notification, FDA officials warned recently that, despite earlier efforts by the American College of Radiology to warn doctors to reduce radiation levels when imaging children, the problem still exists.

Video: 11-Year-Old Takes Down Monsanto in TED Talk

The fight against Monsanto has heated up like never before, especially with the recent March Against Monsanto and other campaigns that have been rooted in similar activism. But the simple reality is that it doesn’t take a PHD to realize how Monsanto’s genetic manipulation of the food supply is an assault on the health of the world — an experiment to which we do not know the full extent of the damage. Instead, as 11-year-old Birke Baehr shows us, it simply takes a bit of research.

I wanted to share Birke’s TEDX speech as I feel it shows just how far the information we continue to cover each day has spread. Even the youngest citizens of the world are continuing the tradition of seeking truth that those before them have initiated since the beginning. The speech also reveals how even an 11-year-old can examine the situation at hand and realize the inherent problems that go along with giving control of the world’s staple food supply to a company that created one of the deadliest chemical weapons of all time — Agent Orange.

GMO genetic pollution alert: Genetically engineered wheat escapes experimental fields planted across 16 states

(NaturalNews) The genetic apocalypse we’ve been warning about for years may have already begun. The USDA just announced they found a significant amount of genetically engineered wheat growing in farm fields in Oregon. As the USDA announced yesterday, “…test results of plant samples from an Oregon farm indicate the presence of genetically engineered (GE) glyphosate-resistant wheat plants.”

Why is this a big deal? Because GE wheat has never been approved for commercialization or sale. These strains of GE wheat escaped from GMO field experiments conducted across 16 states by Monsanto from 1998 to 2005. As the USDA states, “Further testing by USDA laboratories indicates the presence of the same GE glyphosate-resistant wheat variety that Monsanto was authorized to field test in 16 states from 1998 to 2005.”

And that means genetic pollution is already out of control. The GE wheat for which Monsanto claims patent ownership is now invading farms that never planted GE wheat.

All U.S. commercially-grown wheat now suspect

There are at least five serious ramifications from this:
